After safely arriving back in the US a bit over a week ago, we will launch out tomorrow morning early on a round the country road trip to catch up with friends and family. Our trip will literally take us on a big lap of the United States and we’re currently psyching ourselves up for 7000 miles in about four weeks. Our website has been modified to reflect this next adventure and I hope to keep you up to date on our progress over the next weeks.

Looking back from here, we’ve enjoyed a wonderful time staying with Holly’s parents in Forest, VA. We’ve been able to purchase a beautiful minivan at a price well below its value and this will be the place we spend the majority of the next 5 days as we cross the country to San Diego. We are blessed to have a DVD system in the van and so between that and a few other ideas and distractions we’re hoping the boys can endure the seat time. Hopefully we’ll be able to check out a few sights along that way as well.

Our time on Logos Hope ended really well. From Antigua we sailed to Dominica which was our final port and it we ended our last few days on board with the annual time of rest where the ship is not open to the public. We enjoyed our final day with an outing to the Emerald Pool with some friends and the annual LogOscars movie competition. Holly was a judge for it and after that, we had a farewell gathering for people to drop in and say good bye as we left the ship at 3:30am the next day! The travel back was fairly uneventful and relatively short after much longer trips we’ve done in recent years.

And so we begin this next chapter of our lives and look forward to what lies ahead…
